New Mask Guidelines at Central and District-Wide COVID-19 Protocol
We hope you have had a great Winter Break. Beginning January 6, 2021, Palacios ISD will be requiring all students PK - 12th grade to wear face masks. Read full letter at: http://bit.ly/3mzsFu5
Please be conscientious as our students return to school. As our COVID-19 guidelines state, students should be screened each day for any COVID-19 Symptoms before they arrive to school:
Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
Loss of taste or smell
Shortness of breath
Congestion or runny nose
Shaking or exaggerated shivering
Significant muscle pain or ache
In addition, if your student has come in close contact with anyone who is confirmed to be COVID-19 positive, they should quarantine for 7 or 10 days. For guidelines on the quarantine period, read the letters below. You may also contact your campus or Dr. Brian Williams @ 361-972-5491 Ext. 1034 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your student tests positive for COVID-19 or needs to quarantine, please make sure to reach out to their campus, so that we can assist with temporary remote learning if needed.
We appreciate all of the hard work you and all of our students have done to mitigate the cases of COVID-19 in Palacios ISD. Area schools have not been as lucky as we have, but it takes all of us to keep this virus at bay and out of our schools. This is our goal, as we want our students to be able to be in school for the entire school year.
